When you are considering traveling around the UK with your motorhome, looking for somewhere nice to stay, it is great to have at least a few recommendations of tried and trusted places to go. Your research will lead you to a great number of wonderful places to visit, however here are five sites you might like to consider:

Chertsey Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Surrey 

It is good for families, older and younger couples, and groups. There is access to chemical toilet disposal, and waste water disposal facilities, and gas cylinder changes. Washing machines are also available. Pets are welcome. There are some great pubs nearby, and a small on-site snack food van, it is also near local amenities. It is only 10 minutes from Weybridge Station, which connects you to the benefits of Southbank; where you can visit great places of interest such as the London Eye, London Aquarium, Tate Modern, and Royal Festival Hall.

Glen Nevis is in the Scottish Highlands

They have 40 full service pitches for motorhomes that provide waste water disposal, and electricity. A drive over service point for motorhomes, and a chemical toilet sluice. A laundrette, well-stocked shop, restaurant and bar are available. Just a few minutes away guests are able to explore 1000 acres of the Glen Nevis Estate, and explore Ben Nevis - the highest mountain in the UK. Families and couples can enjoy adventure activities like walks, abseiling, and climbing.

Trencreek Holiday Park in Newquay, Cornwall 

Caters for families and couples, but no pets are allowed. It is close to tennis courts, Newquay zoo and the Cornish beaches. It has an outdoor heated swimming pool, a laundrette, an on-site restaurant, café and bar. Also a TV room, take-away, and a food shop. Water drainage hook up points, chemical toilet disposal and gas cylinder change are available as well. It is near public transport.

Barcdy Touring Caravan and Camping Park 

It is located in Snowdonia National Park, five miles from Harleck in Wales. There are five motorhome pitches that are fully serviced, 28 acres of oak woodland and fields to wander through. Also water drainage hook-up points, a chemical disposable point, and gas cylinder changes are available. Plus free Wi-fi and a laundrette. It is considered to be a walker’s paradise.

Windermere Camping and Caravanning Campsite 

It is near Kendal in the Southern Lakes District, which is considered a mecca for water sports. It has a chemical toilet disposal point, gas cylinder change, and a motorhome stop off point. Washing machines, a shop, restaurant and bar, and takeaway are on-site. Pets are also welcome.

There is a large range of great motorhome facilities available around the UK at various times throughout the year, whether traveling with or without pets. It is always best to check that the site you are considering has not made any changes, and still offers any specific requirements you may have for the best possible RS Motorhome experience.
