Lake District’s Derwentwater gets new look!

Derwentwater is one of the key campsites that recently got revamped by the Camping & Caravanning Club.

Geographically wise, Derwentwater is only a few minutes’ walk away from Keswick (suffered from floods in December 2015).

Prior to rebuilding the campsite, engineers have worked hard to make sure that more damages won’t take place in the future, due to bad weather. For this, the campsite has been weatherproofed for extreme weather conditions.

In addition, 48 hardstanding pitches have been placed (all 48 have electric hook up) in order to ease the stay of those campers that choose to stay on the site a bit longer.

The newly developed Derwentwater campsite will now feature as the largest glamping villages of the network consisting of nine Ready Camp tends.

Derwentwater will be open to the public from 1 July 2016, but campers are eligible to book their places now.
