11 Years of Craftsmanship & Growth at RS Motorhomes
When you spend over a decade at a company, your story becomes intertwined with it’s growth, evolution and culture. Paul, one of RS Motorhomes’ most dedicated team members, reflects on his 11 year journey with the company – a journey defined by craftsmanship, learning and mentorship.

Starting out: From Bench Joiner to CNC Operator
Paul began his career at RS Motorhomes working on the bench, crafting bespoke furniture as a joiner. Recognising his potential, the company trained hi to operate CNC machines and he quickly became a skilled CNC Operator.
“It was a natural progression,” Paul says.
“The training was thorough and it really opened up new opportunities for me within the business.”
When a colleague left the company, Paul stepped up to build Sprinter vans independently, a challenge he embraced wholeheartedly. Later, he transitioned to working on the company’s larger trucks, gaining experience across a variety of tasks, from interiors to detailed finishes.
What Drew him you RS Motorhomes
Before joining RS, Paul worked as a maintenance man and having previously made furniture prototypes for Selfridges, Harrods and Laura Ashley. A friend recommend RS as a place where his skills could truly shine.
“I was looking for an opportunity and RS seemed like the perfect fit,” he recalls.
“The family business culture was something that really appealed to me from the start.”
Evolving Roles and New Responsibilities
Over the years, Paul’s role has evolved beyond production. Today, he also advises colleagues on motorhome builds and helps train new team members.
“I enjoy mentoring others and sharing my experience,” he says.
“It’s rewarding to see someone grow and maintain the high standards we pride ourselves on.”
Achievements to Remember
One of Paul’s proudest accomplishments was building Sprinter vans from start to finish entirely on his own.
“That was a big achievement for me,” he says with a smile.
“I’d love to see one of those early vans again and maybe even buy it for myself!”
His contributions extend beyond individual projects – he’s played a key role in maintaining RS Motorhomes reputation for quality. He’s helped ensure every vehicle meets the meticulous standards.
Memorable Projects and Moments
For Paul, there’s something special about seeing a project through from concept to completion.
“Start to finish on a Sprinter van is incredibly rewarding,” he notes.
“It’s a chance to see all the pieces come together into something tangible that people can enjoy for years.”
Why Stay for 11 Years?
When asked what has kept him at RS for over decade, Paul cites the family-oriented culture.
“The team feels like family,” he says.
“Everyone works together, helps each other and takes pride in what they do.”
Company Culture and Work Ethic
Paul describes RS Motorhomes culture as one that demands meticulous attention to detail.
“Every small details counts.” he explains.
“We have a great team spirit and we’re all focused on producing work we can be proud of.”
Changes in the Industry
He’s witnessed significant changes over the years, particularly in production methods.
“CNC machines have brought a level of precision and speed that handcrafting could never achieve.” Paul explains.
“While everything used to be made by hand, today’s processes are faster, more streamlined and incredibly accurate.”
A Personal Touch
Colleagues might be surprised to learn about Paul’s love of water.
“Anything to do with boats – I’m completely hooked,” he admits.
He also credits Mick, a key mentor, for much of his support and inspiration throughout his career at RS.

As Paul continues his journey at RS, he’s excited to mentor his team and ensure they reach their full potential. With Paul promoted to Head of Interior Fit, he says
