  • Pay: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 41.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role

This role involves all aspects of exterior coachbuilding and vehicle assembly work on bespoke luxury motorhomes. We are looking for someone with an excellent eye for detail and a hands-on approach to high-quality workmanship.

Duties will include:

  • Fitting windows, doors, skirts, locks, handles, fibreglass parts and trims
  • Vehicle assembly and exterior fitting work
  • Using a wide range of hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints
  • Completing work to the highest standards of quality and finish
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Supporting different areas of production when required
  • Some training will be provided for the right candidate.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in coachbuilding, vehicle assembly or similar manufacturing environment
  • Good practical skills using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Flexible and willing to assist across different projects
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence

 

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Bus or coachbuilding
  • Vehicle build or conversion
  • Fabrication or assembly work
  • Mechanical knowledge

The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of bespoke luxury motorhomes, carrying out precision lightweight fabrication work to a high standard.

 

Duties will include:

  • MIG & TIG welding
  • Aluminium and mild steel fabrication
  • Coach building and vehicle body assembly
  • Fabrication of brackets and laser-cut chassis components
  • Working from technical drawings
  • Producing accurate, high-quality workmanship
  • Please note: This is not heavy fabrication work.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication or coach building
  • Strong MIG & TIG welding experience
  • Experience working with aluminium and mild steel
  • Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and tidy approach to work
  • Reliable, hardworking and punctual
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of workshop-based work

 

Desirable Skills

  • Stainless steel fabrication experience would be a significant advantage
  • Experience within automotive, caravan, trailer, commercial vehicle or motorhome manufacturing beneficial
    Working Hours

 

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am – 3:45pm
  • Overtime and occasional Saturday mornings available

Duties include:

  • Skilled in preparing moulds for production from patterns would be advantage
  • Produce Fiberglass Components using hand lay ups.
  • Clean/wax and prep moulds for lay up.
  • Apply various agents/material identification
  • Gel coat application/laminate
  • Display excellent attention to detail whilst working to a variety of specifications.
  • Working as part of a team or independently when required.

Criteria:

  • Experience in mould making would be an advantage
  • Skilled in preparing moulds for production from patterns
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Flexibility and desire for occasional overtime.
  • Willingness to adapt to different projects.
  • Positive attitude towards the wider workforce.
